Congratulations to our employees who received an award at the British Engines Group Annual Awards Night 2022.
The awards night celebrates the long serving employees who have been a part of the group for 25 years, as well as apprentices in their first, third and fourth years.
Jake Burwood, a first year Manufacturing Apprentice at Tyne Pressure Testing, received the ‘First Year Apprentice Award’ for demonstrating progress and achievement in training and college work in 2022.
Joining Tyne Pressure Testing in November 2021, Jake supports the technicians when setting up a test and helps to supply documentation to the customer. Once a pressure test has been completed, Jake gathers the data to send to the customer.
Anthony Jackman, Production Engineer, said: “Jake has entered the business with a pro-active approach. He is always keen to learn and even keeps a log of what engineering principles to look up and study in his spare time.
“Jake is only in his first year but has the confidence to contribute to team discussions and is able to challenge the team to ensure he fully understands how testing works against the theory he has been trained with.
“He always listens but likes to ask the right questions, and as a result the whole team works very well with him.”
All British Engines Group apprentices were commended for their outstanding levels of commitment and versatility as they progress through their apprenticeships.
